Tour Itinerary (Subject to change)
Day 1 (Thursday)
November 6
We depart from the United States on our overnight flight to Tel Aviv. After take-off, enroute to Israel we will be served dinner.
Day 2 (Friday)
November 7
Breakfast is served before we land. We arrive in Tel Aviv in the afternoon and are greeted by a tour representative, who assists us through customs. Continue to Tel Aviv for check in at hotel. Receive overview of tour. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Tel Aviv.
Day 3 (Saturday)
November 8
Following breakfast, we drive north along Israel's west coast shoreline, stopping in Caesarea to explore the ancient Roman Theater built by King Herod, the aqueduct and harbor. Proceed to Megiddo to view the ruins of twenty levels of civilization and read about the final Battle of Armageddon overlooking the Plains of Jezreel. Ascend Haifa's Mt. Carmel to Mukata, the site of Elijah, and take in the breathtaking panoramic view. Arrive in Tiberias for dinner and stay overnight.
Day 4 (Sunday)
November 9
Breakfast. Morning visit to the Jesus Boat Center at Kibbutz Ginosar for shopping. Boat cruise of the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum, site of Jesus' many miracles. Continue to Tabka and the Mount of Beatitudes, site of the "Sermon on the Mount." After lunch, we travel to Mt. Arbel to visit ancient Magdala, home of Mary Magdalene. Learn about life during ancient times at the re-created village of Kfar Kedem. Return to hotel in Tiberias for dinner and stay overnight.
Day 5 (Monday)
November 10
After breakfast we drive to the Golan Heights and enjoy a walk in the Tel Dan Nature Reserve. Continue with a drive to the Banias Springs and visit Nimrod's Castle. Continue to Mount Bental for panoramic views of Israel's neighbors, overlooking the ruins of the city of Kuneitra. Return to Tiberias via Yardenit for a Baptismal Ceremony on the Jordan River. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
Day 6 (Tuesday)
November 11
Travel through the Jordan Valley, stopping in Nazareth, Jesus' boyhood town. Proceed to the archeological site of Zippori and Beit Shean to admire the ancient ruins and intricate mosaics. Upon arrival in Jerusalem, we will stop atop Mt. Scopus for optional worship and a beautiful view. Arrive at our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and stay overnight.
Day 7 (Wednesday)
November 12
Breakfast. We begin the day with a visit to the Garden Tomb, and drive to the top of the Mt. of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Following the Palm Sunday Route, we walk to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Continue to the Kidron Valley. We then enter the Old City through Herod's Gate and take a short walk to the Chapel of Flagellation, Pilate's Judgement Hall. Walk the Via Delarosa to Mt. Zion where we visit the Upper Room, site of Jesus' last supper. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 8 (Thursday)
November 13
Breakfast. We enter Jerusalem through the Dung Gate and proceed to the Western Wall, where we take a fascinating tour of the tunnels. View the Pool of Bethesda, followed by a visit to the Third Temple Institute, focused on the rebuilding of the Holy Temple. Stroll through the Jewish Quarter, including the ancient Roman Cardo. After lunch on your own, we tour the Herodian Mansion excavations. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 9 (Friday)
November 14
After breakfast, we enter the Old City to visit the Southern Wall excavations and view the ruins and Robinson Arch. Visit the Davidson Center to gain an understanding of the Temple Period. Depart the Old City and proceed to Yad Vashem's memorial to the Holocaust. Continue to the Israel Museum where we will visit the Shrine of the Book and view the scale model of Jerusalem during the Second Temple period.
Day 10 (Saturday)
November 15
After breakfast we depart Jerusalem and drive to the Dead Sea Basin. Visit the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Continue to Masada to explore the ancient fortress and learn the story of the Jewish Zealots. Walk through the beautiful desert oasis at Ein Gedi before enjoying and unsinkable swim and the healing mud baths of the Dead Sea. Dinner followed by a conference meeting. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 11 (Sunday)
November 16
Breakfast. Today we will have a conference at our hotel (lunch included). On our way to Tel Aviv, we will visit Mini-Israel at Latrun to see a miniature scale reproduction of sites and cities throughout Israel. Tree planting opportunity at a JNF forest. Arrive in Tel Aviv for a tour of Old Jaffa and a festive Farewell Dinner before transferring to Ben Gurion Airport for our return flight to the United States.
Day 12 (Monday)
November 17
We arrive home in the United States with everlasting memories of the Holy Land.
